Siaw Foon Lee obtained the PhD in Materials Science at Loughborough University, United Kingdom in 2002. Currently, she is working as a researcher in the group of Materials and Energy for a Sustainable Development (MEDES) at Eduardo Torroja Institute for Construction Sciences (IETcc). Her research interest is waste-brine desalination, zeolite application on wastewater treatment, concentrated solar energy and construction material functionalisation. She has worked on several national and international projects. She is also an associate editor of Journal of Mechanical Behaviour of Materials (De Gruyter) and an editorial member of Discover Chemistry and Discover Electrochemistry (Springer Link).
