Zihao Rei Gao specialises in the synthesis and discovery of novel zeolites, particularly stable extra-large pore frameworks. He obtained his PhD from ICMM-CSIC (Spain) and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University (USA). His research led to the ZEO series of extra-large pore zeolites, achieving a long-standing goal in the field and demonstrating click chemistry in zeolite through 1D-to-3D structure transformation. He has published in Science (2), Nature (1), and Angew. Chem. (6). His future work focuses on advancing and exploiting the synthesis and applications of extra-large pore zeolites.
