PhD Chemistry 1995, University of Valencia. His scientific background includes physical chemistry, catalysis, quantum chemistry, atomistic methods, programming languages, operating systems, and parallel computing. He has published 190 papers in topics such as: molecular mechanics, molecular dynamics, atomistic forcefields, and density functional theory. Most of his papers deal with zeolites and metal-organic frameworks, but also he is interested in soft-matter such as proteins, ligand-receptor interactions, and chiral molecules. He is member of the Structure Commission of the International Zeolite Association, is Associate Editor of Physical Chemistry Chemical Physic, and is serving in a large number of scientific panels of project evaluation across the world.
