Z-ONA4LIFE Featured in the PTEC YEARBOOK

en news piece

Z-ONA4LIFE was recently featured in the June 2024 edition of the PTEC YEARBOOK, which highlights the results and impact of leading projects in the European construction sector.

What is the PTEC?

The Spanish Construction Technology Platform (PTEC) is one of the foundational drivers of the construction sector. Through different activities, the Platform aims to facilitate collaboration between public and private entities to tackle key challenges and priority areas of action through research, development & innovation (R&D&I). The members of the PTEC community are a combination of influential actors in the construction space, ranging from associations, research clusters, research centres, universities, technology centres, start-ups, SMEs, and leading enterprises.

One function of the PTEC is to create, publish, and disseminate various educational documents across a range of topics to generate visibility around industry innovations and transfer knowledge to important stakeholders. The YEARBOOK is one way for PTEC to highlight European construction projects and amplify the competitiveness and position of the construction sector at the regional and international levels.

The YEARBOOK is a compilation of relevant European Project information, classified according to specific Working Groups, which have been created by the PTEC to accommodate the expansive topics, needs and demands of the sector. In the publication, Z-ONA4LIFE is featured under the Sustainable Materials and Circular Economy Working Group, which seeks to promote the development of renewable raw materials, with greater durability, through decreased consumption of resources.

Why is this important?

The construction sector is essential in the pursuit of a more sustainable, renewable, and circular world. Inclusion in these types of dissemination activities are important for projects like Z-ONA4LIFE to not only receive individual acknowledgement and visibility, but to promote the transformations of an entire sector, thereby fostering a more connected and integrated community.

A harmonised approach assists in efficiency and the transformation of the sector overall. While this YEARBOOK captures a granular breakdown of specific projects, the collective results within the publication demonstrate how these projects and organisations are interconnected in their pursuit of a resilient, sustainable, and circular world.
