On June 29–30, 2026, the Z-ONA4LIFE project is joining the European Congress on Circular Economy and Clean Technologies in Berlin, Germany. This peer-reviewed international gathering brings together the world’s leading researchers, scientists, and industry innovators to discuss the future of sustainable development under the theme: “Innovation at the Crossroads of Circular Economy and Clean Tech”.
The Z-ONA4LIFE consortium is joining this global platform to showcase its latest advances in transforming industrial waste into high-value resources, contributing to the congress’s goal of fostering eco-friendly solutions that drive both environmental and economic advantage.
Spotlight on Z-ONA4LIFE: Circular Economy & Industry 4.0
Z-ONA4LIFE is taking part in the scientific session dedicated to Circular Economy & Industry 4.0. This session explores the intersection of digital transformation and sustainability, covering key areas such as:
- Smart Manufacturing for Circular Production.
- Digital Platforms for Circular Product Life-Cycle Management.
- Additive Manufacturing for Waste Reduction.
Transforming the Aluminium Industry
Representing the project, Rita Giuffrida (Senior Project Manager at Trust-IT Services and Z-ONA4LIFE Communication Manager) will deliver an oral presentation titled: "Z-ONA4LIFE: Transforming the Aluminium Industry with Circular Solutions".
The presentation, co-authored by Aurora López Delgado and Maximina Romero Pérez (IETcc-CSIC), details how the project intends to convert hazardous salt slag and Si-rich residues into high-value synthetic zeolites. By bridging the gap between the lab and industrial scale via a pilot plant in Spain, Z-ONA4LIFE aims to deliver a scalable, near-zero-waste model for Europe’s 220+ aluminium recycling plants.
