On 8 - 9 April 2024, the Z-ONA4LIFE consortium met in Gijón, Spain, for two key project milestones: an internal coordination meeting and the Second Project Review with the CINEA agency.
The internal meeting on 8 April focused on reviewing technical progress, refining communication activities, and planning the next steps for pilot implementation and policy engagement.
On 9 April, the official review assessed achievements in communication, policy analysis, exploitation strategies, and the transition from lab-scale to pilot-scale zeolite production. The reviewer highlighted the strong collaboration across partners and the value of bilingual outreach.
The two-day meeting concluded with a site visit to the location of the future pilot plant, which will be built by Alusigma S.A. later in 2024, marking a major step forward in scaling up sustainable, waste-based zeolite production.
