Organised by the Government of Principality of Asturias , Sekuens Agency , FICYT y European Business and Innovation Center of the Principality of Asturias (CEEI) , with the support of Valnalón and Department of Education of the Principality, this fair is the meeting point for sharing knowledge, awakening scientific vocations, and showcasing everything being done in R&D&I in Asturias.
At the science fair, Z-ONA4LIFE presented an exhibition stand featuring real samples of an innovative process for recovering waste from the aluminium industry.
The stand visually and didactically illustrated the complete process cycle: the recycling of aluminium scrap; the production of aluminium; the valorisation of salt slag by transforming it into high-value products such as zeolites; the use of zeolites in effluent purification; and the manufacture of compost from spent zeolites
